USPS suspends services
USPS remains closed

The United States Postal Service has temporarily suspended operations including delivery to residential and business addresses yesterday, Tuesday, Feb. 16 due to extreme winter weather conditions. The suspension remains in effect today, Wednesday, Feb. 17.

No garbage pick-up today, Wednesday, Feb. 17
Winter weather halts garbage pick-up

According to reports from the City of Senatobia, garbage trucks will not run until road conditions improve due to dangerous conditions. 

Residents are encouraged to keep cans at the road until city workers can get them emptied. 

All county offices will be closed Wednesday, Feb.17 (today).

Inglish died of natural causes

On Friday, Jan. 15, Melanie Kim Inglish, 65 of Senatobia was found deceased at the Days Inn at 501 East Main Street in Senatobia. Earlier reports stated Inglish was discovered by officers responding to a welfare check.

The family of Inglish have come forward to state that was not the case.

Representatives from Tate County, the Tate County Economic Development Foundation, the City of Coldwater and the City of Senatobia met on Monday, Feb. 1 at the Haraway Center on the campus of Northwest Mississippi Community College.

The officials met to discuss  issues with the 2021 Legislature which would impact Tate County.
