Area residents will have a chance to attend the 2nd Annual Super Fun Saturday and Egg Hunt set for Saturday, April 19, at Oak Grove Church of Christ (Harmontown).
The event will kick off at 11:00 a.m. at the church’s location at 10 County Road 514, Como, MS 38619. There is no charge to attend and will offer free entertainment and free food.
The church will offer hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ, pimento, tuna and chicken salad sandwiches, homemade cakes and pies, drinks and chips.
The Super Fun Saturday will offer horseback rides and pony cart rides with adult supervision. Bella the Giant Cow and Boo-Boo the Goat along with little goat friends, donkeys and bunnies will be available and guests will get to pet and feed the animals.
An old fashioned sack race open for all ages will begin at 12 noon. There will be a $75 prize for first place and a $25 prize for second place.
An egg toss for all ages will begin directly after the sack race. The winning team will get a $200 award and the second place team will receive $100.
And of course there will be an egg hunt starting at 1:00 p.m. with over 1,000 eggs to find. Children ages 1-8 will have the first 15 minutes to search for eggs, then all other ages can join in. There are two prize eggs worth $100 each.
The church invites all to come and celebrate with family and make new friends.
