A Batesville man was arrested on felony possession charges by Senatobia Police Department in the early morning hours the day after Christmas.
Officers were dispatched to the Circle K service station on Main Street in Senatobia at approximately 2 a.m., Monday, Dec. 26. According to reports, upon arrival officers encountered an individual described as frantic inside the gas station.
Later identified as James Moore, 25, of Batesville, was unable to properly explain why he was inside the store or why he was in need of assistance.
SPD officers located Moore’s vehicle parked in a handicapped designated spot outside the gas station. SPD K9 units were deployed resulting in a positive alert on the vehicle. Upon a search of the vehicle described as a white 2016 Toyota Camry, officers found approximately 15 Adderall pills, 12 Xanax bars and 4.65 grams of cigarillos containing a green leafy substance. Officers also located several small orange plastic baggies and a loaded Glock handgun inside the vehicle.
Moore was charged with illegal parking in a handicap spot, possession of Marijuana/synthetic cannabinoids inside a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance schedule IV (Xanax), and felony possession of a controlled substance schedule II (Adderall).
Moore was transported to the Tate County Jail and bond was set at $75,000.
