A man walked into a local restaurant on Main Street in Senatobia Monday night, suffering from a gunshot wound, and told employees he had been shot. It was Senatobia's second reported shooting in two days.
Officers were dispatched to Zaxby's restaurant at 301 West Main Street on Monday, Oct. 6 at approximately 8:40 p.m. where they found a male victim with a gunshot wounds in his left groin and left hand.
A police report states the man ran to Zaxby's after he was shot at 210 McKie Street.
He was transported to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis.
Monday's shooting follows the shooting of a female on Dean Street, Sunday evening.
A report from Senatobia Police Department states the shooting took place Sunday, Oct. 5 at approximately 8 p.m. in the Dean Street area.
Upon arrival at the scene police found a female suffering from a gunshot wound and various firearm casings that are believed to have come from the gunfire.
The female, no age given, was transported from the scene to Highland Hills Medical Center in Senatobia by two unknown Black male subjects who police are attempting to identify.
Police closed off the narrow street, just a block from Senatobia Elementary School, for over two hours and taped off the crime scene after neighbors began gathering on the street. The city’s K-9 and handler came to the area and searched the area.
Neighbors reported hearing multiple shots and said police responded quickly to their call for help.
SPD said no other damage or injuries were reported in relation to the incident which remains under investigation.
The Tate County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the scene and officers detained at least one man until the crime scene was opened back up.

Police say the shooting appear to be unrelated. No arrests have been announced in these shootings.
