Senatobia High School hosted the Tomahawk Open, on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 16, with over 13 high schools from across North Mississippi sending cross country runners to the track meet.
Runners trekked Tomahawk Trail and a section that fronts Highway 4 west of Senatobia. The course is known for both its up sections that test runners and the downhill sides that allow speed and improve times.
The girls’ race, above, had a strong showing with the Lady Warriors taking First Place. The meet has grown to become one of the favorites of high schools across North Mississippi and saw runners from as far away at Pontotoc take part in the event.
Families brought tents and chairs to the event to enjoy the races and a beautiful fall day.
