The service is not a free one and insurance will be filed. The Mammography Unit travels in order to make the service more convenient by offering it locally without patients needing to drive to Southaven or Memphis.
Baptist notes that if patients are filing with Medicare or insurance, the mammography needs to be at least one year and one day after the previous mammogram. If there are any questions, about coverage, insurance carriers should be contacted prior to the appointment.
