Six people were taken into custody, and another is on the run after the Tate County Sheriff’s Office busted a suspected drug house in Coldwater.
Captain Lisa Sanders said TCSO received numerous complaints of suspicious activity at a residence at 349 Central Avenue. That prompted local authorities to launch an investigation and obtain a search warrant of the home.
Tate County Narcotics agents with assistance from officials from the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics seized methamphetamine, marijuana, and various drug paraphernalia during a search Wednesday, March 16, at approximately 10 a.m., according to Sanders.
Two suspects, identified by Sanders as Suzanne Williams, 45, of Sarah, and Perry Smith, 59, of Coldwater, were charged with illegal possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of paraphernalia in connection with the incident. Four other suspects were charged with misdemeanor offenses.
Sanders said TCSO also issued a felony warrant for the arrest of Ronell Abram, 44, of Sarah, for sale of controlled substance (methamphetamine). Abram was not at the residence on Central Avenue when the search warrant was carried out.
A complete review of the case remains under investigation by TCSO. Sanders said anyone with information on the whereabouts of Abram can call (662) 562-4434 or the Tate County Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (662) 301-1111.
