A pair of juveniles are being charged as adults in connection with a robbery attempt in Coldwater.
Police Chief Rickey Dandridge identified the suspects as Damarian Rucker, 15, of Senatobia, and Quintarries Hunt, 16, of Coldwater. Both were charged with armed robbery and conspiracy and detained at the Tate County Jail under $110,000 bonds.
According to Dandridge, CPD received a report Saturday, March 2, of an armed robbery after a subject said he dropped off two male juveniles in the 100 block of Flower Circle. The subject told officers one of the suspects put a mask over his face, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The subject responded all he had was 50 cents before the juveniles ran away.
The subject was able to identify both suspects who were later taken into custody by Coldwater police officers.
“We take matters such as this very seriously, and our goal is to fully prosecute to the extent of the law to ensure the town of Coldwater is safe,” Dandridge said.
The incident remains under investigation by CPD.
