Two men were taken into custody by Senatobia Police officers last week following a traffic stop.
Chief Richard Chandler identified the men as Ross Houart, 22, and Zachary Ryan Bible, 25, both of Southaven.
Chandler said Senatobia Police were responding to a call transferred from the Tate County Sheriff’s Office regarding shots fired from a vehicle. Officers located a vehicle matching the description and conducted a traffic stop. A firearm was located during a search of the vehicle and officers discovered Houart was a convicted felon, according to Chandler.
Houart was charged with felon in possession of a weapon, second offense DUI and driving without a license in connection with the traffic stop. He also had an outstanding fugitive warrant issued in Austin, Texas. Bible was charged with possession of controlled substance.
Both subjects were transported to the DeSoto County Adult Detention Center for housing.
