To the Editor:
Imagine this: At any moment in the future, an unelected bureaucrat, the Director-General (DG) of the World Health Organization (WHO), will have 100% authority to declare a health "emergency." That means the DG will declare 1) what the emergency is, 2) where it is, 3) when it begins and ends, and 4) will also declare the dictates that must be followed during the emergency. Rather than dealing with only situations such as virus outbreaks or diseases, these "health" emergencies can be whatever the DG deems so, i.e. poverty, climate change, immigration, etc.
This scenario will become a reality for our country and the other 193 countries that comprise the member states in the United Nations (U.N.) if the leaders of each country vote for and sign two agreements. Here are the facts:
The WHO is the health branch of the U.N., and the World Health Assembly (WHA) is the decision-making body of the WHO. The WHA meets annually in Geneva, Switzerland along with representatives from each member state who chose to attend. This year the meeting is scheduled for May 27 thru June 1 - yes, it almost upon us. For over two years the WHA has been working on two agreements that are scheduled to be voted upon during the forthcoming meeting.
1st Agreement: This consists of draft agreements to the existing International Health Regulations (IHR). The crucial feature of the amendments will change the IHR from non-binding suggestions to requirements that countries follow the WHO's dictates during a health emergency.
2nd Agreement: This document is called the Pandemic Agreement. This is a very long document that details a PHEIC which stands for Public Health Emergencies of International Concern. The document contains other information that I do not know about, but the point is, this is an agreement that must be adhered to by the signees.
The takeaway from all this: If a designated official from the Biden Administration votes for and signs these two agreements, the United States of America will have abdicated our sovereignty over our health care system to the World Health Organization. That is not hyperbole - an extravagant exaggeration - it is the truth. Go back and re-read the first paragraph of this letter and allow that to be re-enforced in your brain. It is imperative that "we the people" express our opposition to this takeover by an U.N. agency.
Why must we do so? Because the Biden administration formulated 300 amendments to the IHR and divided them among other nations to be submitted along with the U.S. doing so. Please call and firmly, but politely, demand that the United States vote NO on the agreements, and if, per chance, the YES vote wins, that our country will NOT sign and enter into these agreements.
Also, call the Capitol switchboard at 202-224-3121 and ask to speak to someone in the offices of Senator Wicker, Senator Hyde-Smith, and Rep. Trent Kelly and express your opposition to this disastrous plan. Additionally, please help get the word out about this grave matter through other phone calls, social media posts, personal conversations, etc. It is time for all hands on deck.
