Coach Kevin Dunigan and the Senatobia volleyball squad got the regular season started off on the right note last Friday, as the Lady Warriors traveled up to Horn Lake and came away with a 3-0 victory.
Senatobia won all three sets in convincing fashion, taking down the Lady Eagles 25-16, 25-14 and 25-15. Senior Carly Dunigan led the way with six kills, while Meagan Richardson, Savannah Berry and Derriyana Newson earned three kills apiece.
Berry and Newson also totaled two blocks each, while Colby Grant finished with four digs. Dunigan and Richardson compiled five aces apiece, while A’destiny Bogan and Grace Schumacher finished with nine assists each.
Officially, Senatobia is now 1-0 on the season, while Horn Lake dropped to 0-1 with the loss. Senatobia will host Southaven on Tuesday at 6 p.m., before taking on Hickory Flat in a 6:30 p.m. home match on Thursday, August 11.
