Firefighters and emergency medical technicians from Senatobia Fire & Rescue Department had a vigorous 2025 by responding to a total of 1,095 calls – compared to 1,083 the previous year.
The bulk of dispatches (715) in 2025 were incidents involving rescue and emergency medical services where firefighters, in some cases, assisted EMS paramedics.
Senatobia Fire & Rescue responded to 55 fire calls including nine building fires and 49 involving hazardous conditions without fire. A total of 62 dispatches were for vehicle accidents with injuries and 53 without injuries.
Personnel were also dispatched on several occasions for service, good intent and false alarm calls.
Senatobia Fire & Rescue went from 18 to 21 full-time firefighters in 2025 with seven on duty each day per shift.
Senatobia has a Class 6 Fire Rating on a scale of 1-to-10 by the Mississippi Insurance Commission, with Class 1 being the best and Class 10 to the lowest.
A Class 6 Fire Rating indicates a moderate level of fire protection for properties. It is based on the availability of water supply for firefighting and both the number and type of firefighting equipment (trucks and training and number of firefighters who can respond.
