Circuit court judgments
Tate County Circuit Court records show the following sentences were among those handed down during the August 2025 Vacation terms of court.
According to court records, the following decisions were handed down in Judge Jimmy McClure’s court:
• Ronell Abram, of Southaven, was sentenced to 16 years in Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) after a guilty plea on a charge of sale of controlled substance – methamphetamine as a habitual and recidivist. He must pay $1,510.90 in court costs.
• Shalon Allen, of Coldwater, was sentenced to 10 years modified to complete intervention court after a guilty plea on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm as a habitual offender. He must pay $2,161.10 in court costs.
• Kenneth Duane Berry, of Coldwater, was sentenced to three years and 317 days in MDOC after a guilty plea on charge of felony DUI-third offense. He must pay $16.80 in court costs.
• Austin Lee Johnson, of Sarah, was sentenced to eight years in MDOC after a guilty plea on a charge of sale of controlled substance – fentanyl less than 10 dosage units. He must pay $902.50 in court costs.
• Mark Kenneth Reed, of Senatobia, was sentenced to eight years modified to complete intervention court after a guilty plea on a charge of felony DUI-fourth offense. He must pay $2,158.10 in court costs.
• Rodney Darnell Todd, of Coldwater, was sentenced to six years in MDOC after a guilty plea on a charge of sale of cocaine less than two grams. He had two charges of sale of cocaine less than two grams remanded to the file. Todd must pay $520.40 in court costs.
• Rodney Darnell Todd, of Coldwater, was sentenced to six years in MDOC and 10 years post-release supervision to run concurrently with previous sentencing after a guilty plea on a charge of sale of cocaine – two grams but less than 10 grams. He had a charge of felon in possession of weapon remanded to the file. Todd must pay $4,630.90 in court costs.
According to court records, the following decisions were handed down in Judge Smith Murphey’s court:
• Ankuria Dion Clark, of Holly Springs, was sentenced to five years non-adjudication after a guilty plea on a charge of conspiracy. He had charges of burglary of a vehicle and grand larceny remanded to the file. Clark must pay $2,723.50 in court costs.
• Johnny Anthony Clemons, of Senatobia, was sentenced to three years non-adjudication after a guilty plea on a charge of possession of controlled substance – methamphetamine 0.1 to two grams. He must pay $2,037.10 in court costs.
• Terrion De’antrez Cobb, of Holly Springs, was sentenced to seven years in MDOC after a guilty plea on a charge of burglary of a vehicle. He had charges conspiracy and grand larceny remanded to the file. Cobb must pay $4,257.50 in court costs.
• Jessica Diana Dalton, of Coldwater, was sentenced to three years non-adjudication after a guilty plea on a charge of possession of controlled substance – methamphetamine 0.1 to two grams. She had a charge of possession of controlled substance – fentany 0.1 to two grams remanded to the file. Dalton must pay $1,953.90 in court costs.
• Demarcus Devonte Echols, of Como, was sentenced to six months in Tate County Jail/six months suspended after a guilty plea on a charge of misdemeanor domestic violence. He must pay $872.75 in court costs.
• Samuel Lee Henderson, of Sarah, was sentenced to two days in MDOC and five years post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of possession of methamphetamine – enhanced. He had charges of possession of controlled substance and felon in possession of a firearm remanded to the file. Henderson must pay $1,817.90 in court costs.
• Quinterries Hunt, of Coldwater, was sentenced to three days in MDOC and four years post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of conspiracy. He had a charge of armed robbery remanded to the file. Hunt must pay $3,813.50 in court costs.
• Jerry Nolan Manuel, of Coldwater, was sentenced to five years post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of conspiracy. He had a charge of felony taking of a motor vehicle remanded to the file. Manuel must pay $1,851.00 in court costs.
• Eric Dewayne Moore, of Southaven, was sentenced to 135 days in MDOC and nine years, 230 days post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of felon in possession of a weapon as a habitual offender. He must pay $1,892.30 in court costs.
• James Arthur Mosley, of Senatobia, was sentenced to three years non-adjudication after a guilty plea on a charge of possession of cocaine – more than 0.1 of a gram but less than two grams. He must pay $1,907.30 in court costs.
• Jordan Pointer, of Horn Lake, was sentenced to five years non-adjudication after a guilty plea on a charge of conspiracy. He had charges of burglary of a vehicle and grand larceny remanded to the file. Pointer must pay $2,922.80 in court costs.
• Dustin Dakota Redwine, of Pope, was sentenced to three years non-adjudication after a guilty plea on a charge of possession of stolen firearm. He must pay $1,880.30 in court costs.
• Demarion Kentrell Rucker, of Coldwater, was sentenced to one day in MDOC and four years post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of conspiracy. He had a charge of armed robbery remanded to the file. Rucker must pay $3,813.50 in court costs.
• Christopher Paul Scroggins, of Como, was sentenced to two days in MDOC and nine years, 363 days post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of felon in possession of a weapon as a habitual offender. He had a charge of possession of stolen firearm as a habitual offender remanded to the file. Scroggins must pay $1,916.30 in court costs.
• David Gene Young Jr., of Senatobia, was sentenced to six years, 199 days in MDOC after a guilty plea on a charge of burglary other than dwelling and 10 years post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of felon in possession of a weapon to run consecutively. He had 11 charges of petit larceny, 11 charges of burglary other than dwelling, three charges of felon in possession of a weapon and two charges of grand larceny remanded to the file. Young must pay $1,742.70 in court costs.
Some of the final decisions reported here may be the result of plea negotiations. By law, circuit court judges are not involved in plea negotiations. Most sentences are the result of a negotiated agreement between the district attorney and defendant.
