Circuit court judgments
Tate County Circuit Court records show the following sentences were among those handed down during the November 2025 Vacation terms of court.
According to court records, the following decisions were handed down in Judge Jimmy McClure’s court:
• Michael M. Brown, of Memphis, had his probation revoked to serve four years in Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm. He must pay $1,750.00 in court costs.
• Willie Curry, of Senatobia, had his probation revoked to serve 90 days in MDOC technical violation center on a charge of indecent exposure – third offense as a habitual offender. He must pay $2,122.70 in court costs.
• Ricardo Shondele Gardner, of Senatobia, had his probation revoked to serve 90 days in MDOC and five years supervised probation on a charge of felony DUI-fourth offense. He must pay $2,693.66 in court costs.
• Nathan Wesley Hall, of Olive Branch, had his probation revoked to serve six years in MDOC on a charge of possession of controlled substance – heroin and fentanyl less than two grams as a recidivist. He must pay $4,305.70 in court costs.
• Austin Scott Hudspeth, of Coldwater, was sentenced to 15 years in MDOC and five years post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of sexual battery of a child under 14 with defendant 24 months older than victim. He had another charge of sexual battery of a child under 14 with defendant 24 months older than victim remanded to the file. Hudspeth must pay $2,548.60 in court costs.
According to court records, the following decisions were handed down in Judge Smith Murphey’s court:
• Martin Luther Ickom, of Sallis, was sentenced to 10 years in MDOC and five years post-release supervision to run concurrently with previous sentencing after a guilty plea on a charge of contraband in a correctional facility as a habitual offender. He must pay $1,834.70 in court costs.
Some of the final decisions reported here may be the result of plea negotiations. By law, circuit court judges are not involved in plea negotiations. Most sentences are the result of a negotiated agreement between the district attorney and defendant.
