The Nation's Weather for Sunday, October 15, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Behind a disturbance sliding eastward over the Atlantic
Ocean, showers will continue for some from the Great Lakes
through a portion of the Northeast, with the best coverage
of precipitation away from the coast. However, a few showers
may also occur along the mid-Atlantic coast, especially
early in the day, most likely around the Outer Banks area.
Farther south, high pressure will mean dry conditions for
much of the Southeast, but a departing front will cause
thundershowers for far southern Florida early in the day.
Otherwise, the Plains and the Midwest can expect a dry day
as temperatures rebound in northern sections following a
chilly Saturday. The vast majority of the West also will be
dry tomorrow with some sunshine. The exception will be
coastal Washington, where showers will arrive late.
