NATIONAL SUMMARY
With a westerly wind remaining in place, lake-effect snow
will continue across portions of western New York tomorrow,
downwind of Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. Blizzard conditions
are no longer expected, though snow will be heavy at times.
Light snow is possible in interior New England as well, with
minor accumulations. Overall across the central and eastern
United States, a slow warming trend will continue.
Meanwhile, a large and intense storm system will move
onshore in the Western states, with an atmospheric river
allowing for substantial moisture to move onshore along with
it. Steady and often heavy rain is expected from Washington
to Southern California, with snow in the nearby mountains by
evening.
