Dear Editor,
In response to the column Trump and Evangelicals, I offer this to ponder.
Clinton’s affair with Monica was predatory and tawdry. President Clinton was impeached by the House on two charges, one perjury and one of obstruction of justice. He was acquitted on both articles of impeachment and remained in office.
Candidate Trump had an affair with porn star Stormy Daniels during the time his wife, Melania, had just given birth to their only son, Barron. The year was 2006.
In 2016, Candidate Trump paid hush money to Stormy Daniels to keep a lid on the story. Candidate Trump knew that if his fellow Republican candidates learned of this truth, they would use it against him.
Candidate Trump’s criminal behavior denied these worthy men a chance to be President.
I am not much of a Bible quoter, but if the jury finds Trump guilty of some or all 34 counts of falsification of business records, I will quote Psalm chapter 118 verse 24 “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
