A local man has been arrested on multiple charges following an investigation by the Tate County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigator Destin Johnson identified the suspect as John M. Aven, 30, of Coldwater. Aven was taken into custody Tuesday, Oct. 25, and charged with enticement of a child to produce visual depiction of sexual conduct, possession of child pornography and felon in possession of a firearm in connection with the incident. He was held without bond at the Tate County Jail.
Johnson said enough evidence was uncovered during an investigation to obtain a search warrant for a residence in the 2500 block of Poagville Road where Aven was arrested by deputies.
The case remains under review by TCSO, according to Johnson.
