Your Tate Record has a new Editor and Publisher who will join a long line of men and women who have served the readers, advertisers and this community for more than 144 years.
“We are very pleased to have Floyd Ingram accept this position and he brings a lot to the Tate Record,” said Wyatt Emmerich, President of Emmerich Newspaper Inc and the owner of the Tate Record. “Floyd has been with our company for six years.
“He is a talented Editor and writer and skilled Publisher who knows the newspaper business," Emmerich added. "He will do well in Senatobia.”
Ingram was most recently Editor and Publisher of the Clarksdale Press Register.
He has worked at newspapers in Texas, Tennessee, Vicksburg, Columbus and West Point. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Mississippi State University, where he was Editor of The Reflector.
“I started throwing papers when I was 10 years old and I am one of the lucky ones who found my calling,” said Ingram. “I am passionate about this business and realize the news and information we publish does make a difference, every day.
Ingram and his wife Sara have four grown sons. They are Baptist and looking forward to making Senatobia their home.
