Even though summer temperatures are lingering in the South, chilly nights and falling leaves aren’t too far away. Fall arrived Wednesday, Sept. 22, officially kicking off the harvest season for many local farmers.
Fall, also known as autumn equinox, means day and night are roughly equal in length.
