The Coldwater Police Department needs your help locating a generator stolen from the town earlier this month.
A statement from CPD says the generator was discovered missing Wednesday, Feb. 4 from the lagoon at the wastewater treatment facility.
“This generator is currently a critical part of the town’s waste treatment operations,” said Police Chief Rickey Dandridge. “Due to its size and weight, it would likely have taken several individuals to move it.
The Town of Coldwater acquired the $10,000 multi-use generator with grant funds. It was being used to pump wastewater after the treatment plant suffered some damage during a winter storm a few weeks ago
The scene has been processed, and the theft is currently under investigation according to Dandridge.
“To the thieves that took this generator…my message to you is we need our generator back, and we’re going to go through any means, and all means to make sure we get our generator back,” Dandridge said.
