Elmer Whitehearst Massey, 97, of Senatobia, Miss., passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
He was born to the late James and Louise Massey on Oct. 3, 1927. Elmer married the love of his life, Billie, on Dec. 25, 1947.
He owned Napa Auto Parts in Sledge, Miss., and Marks, Miss., for over 50 years. He was an avid golfer. He also loved his grandchildren dearly.
Elmer is survived by his daughters, Anita Massey Guyer (David) of Hernando, Miss., and Mary Massey of Starkville, Miss.; son, James Massey of Senatobia; sister, Vyonne Massey Mynatt; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife, Billie Holder Massey and granddaughter, Lauren Bruister.
Memorials may be made to Senatobia First Methodist Church where he was a member.
Services were held Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Senatobia First Methodist Church. Burial followed in Bethesda Cemetery.
Pate-Jones Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
