The Senatobia Culture Club held it’s December meeting in the First Baptist Church Welcome Center which was decorated for the season with beautiful poinsettias and Christmas trees.
Hostesses were Rosamond Hawkins, who couldn’t attend due to illness, Ann Taylor, and Rita Wolfe.
Refreshments were provided by the hostesses and were enjoyed by not only club members but several guests who were present.
The musical program, The Magic of Christmas Music was beautifully presented by Nancy Warren, pianist, and Sylvia Alford, soloist.
A devotion given by Rita Wolfe from The Purpose of Christmas by Rick Warren reminded us of the greatest gift we could ever receive, the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
A short business meeting followed including a report regarding a mural to possibly be painted at our local hospital, Highland Hills Hospital. Money was collected to be delivered to the Senatobia Nursing Home.
The meeting was adjourned and we all went home with a bit more Christmas spirit than we started with. The next meeting will be at Marilyn Pang’s home.
