Culture Club holds meeting
On Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, the Senatobia Culture Club met in the lovely home of Mary Claire McClure. Rita Dowdle was her co-host.
The devotional, “Changes of Fall “was presented by Mrs. McClure. The program was a presentation of Rita Dowdle and Mary Claire McClure’s trip to Europe who were joined by David Dowdle, Rita’s spouse, and Elizabeth Jackson, Mary Claire’s sister-in-law.
Mrs. Jackson and Martha Moore joined us as guests to enjoy the presentation with the members who were present.
In traveling by ship, they toured Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, and Hungary. Points of interest were the Concentration Camp and Prague Castle in the Czech Republic.
In Germany they visited the Potter’s Shop. The beautiful setting for The Sound of Music with the church was enjoyed in Austria. Many castles, art and music displays were toured in Vienna. It was a delightful trip for the group.
In closing, the group held their business meeting. Roll call was responded by each member with what they were grateful for. The members discussed their upcoming seasonal/community project of helping Hope Ministries. The December 13 meeting will be held at First Baptist Church Welcome Center.
