A suspect has been arrested after a female suffered multiple stab wounds during an altercation in a Senatobia neighborhood, according to police.
Assistant Chief Matt Defore identified the suspect as K’adijah Johnson, 24, of Senatobia. Johnson was charged with aggravated assault in connection with the incident and held at the Tate County jail under a $750,000 bond.
Defore said police responded to a disturbance Monday, Dec. 13 near Cochran Place at approximately 9:30 p.m., and discovered a female subject who had been stabbed at least 15 times with what officers described as an “edged weapon”. The 29-year-old victim, whose name was not released by police, was airlifted to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, and listed in critical condition.
Senatobia police took Johnson into custody during a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 51 approximately 30 minutes after the incident was reported, according to Defore.
The case remains under review by the Criminal Investigations Division of the Senatobia Police Department.
