The manager of a Dollar General in Coldwater has been arrested in connection with money missing from the store.
Coldwater Police Chief Rickey Dandridge identified the suspect as Carlos A. Cox, 39, of Senatobia. Cox was arrested and charged with embezzlement Thursday, March 10, before he was released from the Tate County Jail under a $5,000 bond.
Dandridge said the Coldwater Police Department opened an investigation at the beginning of March after receiving complaints from Dollar General officials regarding an unspecified amount of money unaccounted for at the 520 Central Avenue location on the town square.
The case remains under investigation, according to Dandridge.
