A man was arrested after he was accused of assaulting a woman at a Senatobia residence.
Assistant Police Chief Matt Defore identified the suspect as Warren T. Armstrong, 27, of Senatobia, who was charged with aggravated domestic violence in connection with the incident. Armstrong was held at the Tate County Jail under a $150,000 bond.
Defore said police dispatch received a call Wednesday, Dec. 15, at approximately 9:13 p.m., but the caller would not speak. He said the dispatcher could hear a male voice yelling in the background. Police officers were able to ping the location of the caller’s cell phone at 320 Cochran Place.
Defore said the victim fled the scene before officers arrived and was found a short time later at a residence on Strayhorn Street where officers took a full report on the incident. The female subject, whose name was not released by police, had physical injuries on her neck and throat area consistent with being choked, according to Defore.
Armstrong was out of jail on bond after being charged by Senatobia police March 17 for felon in possession of a firearm and illegal possession of controlled substance.
