Tate County Circuit Court records show the following sentences were among those handed down during the November 2024 Vacation terms of court.
According to court records, the following decisions were handed down in Judge Jimmy McClure’s court:
• Shaquille D. Carter, of Memphis, was sentenced to two years in Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) and three years of post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of possession of methamphetamine – 20 but less than 40 dosage units. He must pay $2,287.90 in court costs.
• Amanda Leigh Chase, of Moscow, Tenn., had her probation revoked to serve 25 days in MDOC on a charge of possession of methamphetamine – 0.1 to two grams as a recidivist. She must pay $2,354.10 in court costs.
• Zykevious Martez Doyle, of Olive Branch, was sentenced to three years non-adjudication after a guilty plea on a charge of possession of controlled substance – fentanyl and 4-ANPPP 0.1 gram but less than two grams. He must pay $1,762.70 in court costs.
• Darrien Cornelius Hilliard, of Crenshaw, was sentenced to one year of house arrest and intervention court after a guilty plea on a charge of felony DUI-fourth offense, He must pay $1,675.88 in court costs.
• Quincy Montez Issac, of Greenwood, was sentenced to six days in MDOC and three years post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of possession of methamphetamine – two but less than 10 dosage units. He must pay $1,805.48 in court costs.
• David Allen Johnson, of Holly Springs, had his probation revoked to serve seven years in MDOC on a charge of fondling. He must pay $1,790.30 in court costs.
• Evan Thomas Powers, of Holly Springs, was sentenced to five years non-adjudication after a guilty plea on charge of arson. He must pay $2,103.50 in court costs.
• Scotty Anthony Wilbourn, of Sardis, was sentenced to 16 years in MDOC after a guilty plea on a charge of possession of methamphetamine – 10 but less than 20 dosage units as a recidivist. He must pay $2,067.50 in court costs.
• Freddie B. Wilson Jr., of Sarah, was sentenced to two days in MDOC and 10 years post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of possession of tetrahydrocannabinol – 10 to 30 grams with intent to sell. He had charges of possession of cannabis containing D9 – 0.1 gram but less than two grams with intent to sell and possession of cannabis containing D9 – 30 t0 250 grams with intent to sell remanded to the file. Wilson must pay $1,753.10 in court costs.
• Freddie B. Wilson Jr., of Sarah, was sentenced to two days in MDOC and 10 years post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of aggravated assault to concurrently with previous sentencing. He had charges of conspiracy and petit larceny remanded to the file. Wilson must pay $2,011.10 in court costs.
According to court records, the following decisions were handed down in Judge Smith Murphey’s court:
• Kadarius Fonville, of Como, was sentenced to five years of probation after a guilty plea on a charge of conspiracy. He had a charge of drive-by shooting remanded to the file. Fonville must pay $2,707.15 in court costs.
• Nictavion Garrett, of New Albany, was sentenced to five years non-adjudication after a guilty plea on a charge of conspiracy. He had a charge of drive-by shooting remanded to the file. Garrett must pay $1,723.50 in court costs.
• Isaiah Dewitt Glover, of Holly Springs, was sentenced to 10 years in MDOC and 15 years post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of burglary of a dwelling. He had two charges of petit larceny, a charge of burglary of a dwelling and a charge of conspiracy remanded to the file. He must pay $1,975.90 in court costs.
• Frederick Dewayne Ramsey, of Senatobia, had his probation revoked to serve five years in MDOC on a charge of domestic violence-third offense as a habitual offender. He must pay $2,168.17 in court costs.
• Frederick Dewayne Ramsey, of Senatobia, was sentenced to 10 years post-release supervision to run consecutively with previous sentencing after a guilty plea on a charge of domestic violence-third offense as a habitual offender. He must pay $1,699.50.
• Emarion Reynolds, of Coldwater, was sentenced to 10 years in MDOC and 20 years post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of drive-by shooting. He had a charge of conspiracy remanded to the file. Reynolds must pay $2,226.30 in court costs.
• Ulyssess Trayvon Russell, of Sardis, had his probation revoked to serve five years in MDOC on a charge of conspiracy. He had a. charge of drive-by shooting remanded to the file. Russell must pay $2,731.10 in court costs.
• Ashley Lychelle Topps, of Grenada, was sentenced to three years non-adjudication after a guilty plea on a charge of possession of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol – 10 but less than 20 dosage units with intent to sell. She had four charges of possession of delta-9-THC – 10 dosage units with intent to sell; a charge of possession of delta-9-THC – 20 dosage units with intent to sell; three charges of possession of delta-9-THC – 10 but less than 20 dosage units with intent to sell; and two charges of possession of delta-9-THC – less than dosage units with intent to sell remanded to the file. She must pay $4,852.50 in court costs.
• Timothy Wooten, of Coldwater, was sentenced to 10 years in MDOC and 10 years post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of attempted murder. He must pay $1,971.50 in court costs.
Some of the final decisions reported here may be the result of plea negotiations. By law, circuit court judges are not involved in plea negotiations. Most sentences are the result of a negotiated agreement between the district attorney and defendant.
