On Monday, June 9, 2025, at approximately 2:32 p.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a crash on Highway 6 in Quitman County.
A 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 41-year-old Shonari O. McCray of Marks, was traveling south on Tutor Road when it collided with a 2006 Ford Escape driven by 64-year-old Jimmie Willingham of Tutwiler, traveling east on Highway 6.
Shonari O. McCray sustained moderate injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital.
Jimmie Willingham sustained moderate injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital.
A minor passenger in the Ford, of Marks, sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol is still investigating this crash.
