Scoring was not hard to come by for Magnolia Heights in a blowout of Greenville-St. Joe on Friday, Spet. 29. The Chief’s ended the game 42-12, for a homecoming win.
Leading 7-6 entering the second quarter, the Chiefs tacked on a pair of touchdowns before halftime, stretching the score to 21-6. Three more trips to the end zone all but put the game away for MHS in the third quarter, as the Chiefs widened the gap to 42-6.
With the win, Magnolia Heights improved to 4-3 on the season, while the Fighting Irish dropped to 3-4 overall. Next up for the Chiefs is a home contest this Friday evening against Heritage Academy, which is 0-6 on the season.
Kickoff between the Chiefs and Patriots is slated for 7 p.m. at Cahill Field.
