The Northeast Mississippi Community College football team recorded a lot of big numbers throughout the 2025 season and continued that trend with all-conference honors with 10 total players being recognized by the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC).
Tyrese Cathey, a graduate of Independence High School, ranked fourth in the MACCC in sacks with 6.5 on the 2025 season with seven TFLs and 25 total tackles on his sophomore year. He opened the season with two sacks against East Central Community College for a combined 15 yards and recorded another pair against Coahoma Community College in the Tigers’ 45-7 win.
Joining Cathey on the MACCC First Team are, Ryan McCall (Madison Central) and JT Fagan (Florence, Ala.).
Northeast Tigers making the MACCC Second Team are JT Beasley (Saltillo), Rickey Banks (Madison Central), Brooks Wallis (Northwest Rankin).
Three Tigers earning Honorable Mention are Qua Middlebrooks (Tupelo) , Alfred Washington (Pensacola, Fla.), Tre’Marcus Webb (Montgomery, Ala.) and Daniel Sherman (Northwest Rankin).
