The Tunica County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a person or persons who shot into a car on Beatline Road in Tunica on Wednesday.
“On Jan. 7, 2026 at approximately 4:21 p.m., the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office received a call from an individual advising of shots fired in the area of 1655 Beatline Road in Tunica,” said Sheriff K.C. Hamp. “Sheriff deputies were dispatched to the area.,
Tunica County Sheriff’s Office subsequently got a call call from an individual reporting their vehicle had been struck by gunfire. Deputies made contact with this individual and vehicle and Pafford EMS also responded.
This individual sustained no injuries.
During this time deputies made contact with a second vehicle in area that also had been struck by gunfire.
Sheriff Hamp said one individual was reportedly shot related to this incident and traveled to a local hospital by personal vehicle.
“This investigation is active and ongoing,” said Sheriff Hamp. “Anyone with information related to this incident is urged to contact Tunica County CrimeStoppers at 662-910-0400. Any information leading to an arrest can pay up to $1,000.”
