TUNICA -- The Tunica County Sheriff's Department is seeking the community's help in locating a man wanted in connection to a triple shooting and homicide Saturday night.
The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office received a call at approximately 7 p.m., Saturday, July 11, reporting shots fired at 1060 Soleil Drive in Robinsonville.
Authorities arriving on the scene discovered three people, a woman, man and a six-year-old child had been hit in the shooting and the alleged shooter had fled the scene.
Pafford EMS arrived and treated those hit in the gunfire. However, one of the victims, 30-year-old Nykeria Jude, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased by Tunica County Coroner, Glenn Grant.
The other two victims, a 24-year-old Black male and a 6-year-old Black female were airlifted to Regional One Health and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, respectively, for further medical treatment.
The suspect in this investigation has been identified as Markello Braxton of Robinsonville. Braxton is considered to be armed and dangerous.
The investigation is currently ongoing and the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information relating to the incident.
