Members of Northwest Mississippi Community College’s Communications staff earned notable accolades in the 2019-2020 College Public Relations Association of Mississippi (CPRAM) Awards, bringing in six different honors in the Junior Division and one honor in the Senior Division. In the Junior Division’s Institutional Magazine category, Northwest Now took the top spot, thanks to the efforts of Julie Bauer, director of Communications (retired), Jennifer Corbin, graphic designer, Patti Gordon, executive director of the Office of Institutional Advancement, and LaJuan Tallo, assistant director of Communications (retired). In the Viewbook category, Northwest’s Achieving Success earned second place, thanks to Corbin’s work. In the Special Publications category, the College’s Achieving Success Strategic Plan, designed by Corbin, won first place. Northwest brought home third place in the Single Piece of Artwork – Non-Sports category with Corbin’s Project Fusion Logo. Thanks to the combined efforts of Corbin, Brian Lentz, Sports Information director, and Brian Oakley, Sports Media specialist, Northwest earned first place for the 2019 Football Media Guide in the Sports Media Guide category. Finally, KayLeigh McCool Mitchell, director of Marketing and Strategic Communications, brought home third place in the New Media/Social Media category for her Student Recruiter Interest Video. In the Senior Division, the combined work of Northwest and University of Mississippi staff earned first place in the Creative Partners category for the DeSoto Center Path4 Campaign.
