The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, June 21, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Mainly cloudy skies with intermittent showers are expected
tomorrow in the Northeast, and a few rumbles of thunder
cannot be ruled out. From northern Kansas to northeastern
Wisconsin, afternoon and evening thunderstorms may turn
severe. Hail and damaging wind gusts will be the primary
hazards along with frequent lightning and torrential rain.
In the Southwest, continued monsoon moisture will bring more
chances for showers and thunderstorms. Any rainfall will be
highly beneficial given the ongoing drought but can cause
flash flooding in mountainous regions, as well as locations
near wildfire burn scars. High heat will continue across the
Central states, and it may feel even hotter due to
increasing humidity. Highs in the 90s are expected as far
north as northern Michigan.
