A one-vehicle crash in eastern Tate County claimed the lives of three people and sent another to the hospital with injuries, according to law enforcement authorities.
Major Shane Brewer from the Tate County Sheriff’s Office said the accident occurred Saturday, Oct. 9, at approximately 6:42 p.m. when a 2002 Toyota Camry driven by Kemarion Bogan, 18, of Senatobia, flipped over in the 5000 block of East Tate Road.
The vehicle was traveling east when Bogan, who was killed in the accident, apparently lost control before hitting a line of trees, Brewer said.
Two juvenile passengers – including a 17-year-old male from Senatobia and a 15-year-old female from Hernando – also died in the crash, according to Brewer. All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene by Tate County Coroner Pat Kizziah.
Another passenger, identified by Brewer as Adrianna Hamilton, 18, of Senatobia, was airlifted to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis where she was treated for injuries. Kizziah said Hamilton was discharged from the hospital a few days later.
