After 41 years of dedication and service to Magnolia Heights School, Dr. Marvin W. Lishman has retired from his position as Head of School.
During his time with the school, Lishman also served as the head coach for the boys basketball team for 16 seasons.
Under Lishman’s guidance and leadership, MHS successfully completed two capital campaigns expanding the school’s campus and upgrading the infrastructure to existing buildings.
He was celebrated by the students during a week long event with spirit days. Themed days included “80’s Day” because Lishman began his MHS career in 1981, “Dress Like the Dr. Day” and a school-wide t-shit day.
A reception was held at the end of the week and Lishman heard messages from alumni, faculty, staff and the student body.
An endowment scholarship has been established in Dr. Lishman’s name and the school’s gymnasium will be renames in his honor fall of 2022.
