In our continued efforts to promote Ernestine Jones’ love through her unwavering encouragements and contributions to the wellness of others, we invite you to join us both in sponsorship and participation at the 6th Annual Ernestine Jones Memorial 5K Walk/Run.
Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm is the scheduled time of this event. The 5K Walk/Run will begin in Gabbert’s Park in Senatobia, MS and continue along a pre-planned route for 3.5 miles in and around the downtown area.
The proceeds will benefit a non-profit of Tate County, Bridging the Gap. This organization has programs dedicated to improving communication and relationships across multi-generational and diverse cultures in the local community. Within Bridging the Gap, resources and programs are designed to motivate and inspire members to succeed in life as well as promote opportunities for self-sufficiency.
Our honoree participated in one of those programs namely, Seniors on the Move. These seniors of Tate County are involved in activities as daily exercise, dance, and information on healthy living and eating. Bridging the Gap provides opportunities to meet and interact with other seniors from the tri-county area of Panola, Tunica and Tate County. We know that Bridging the Gap, Seniors on the Move brought much joy and smiles to our mother and her friends by contributing to positive attitudes, purposes and an overall healthier outlook on life daily.
We are reaching out to invite you, our local merchants, business(employers/employees) and acquaintances to assist with this activity through sponsorship and participation. We welcome financial sponsorship and/or donations (i.e., bottled water, sports drinks, energy bars and fruits). Your favorable response to this request(s) is greatly appreciated.
