Jamario Loveberry is the local recipient of the 2022 Mississippi Association of Supervisors County Employee Scholarship.
Loveberry, a senior at North Panola High School and the son of Clifton and Cristy Loveberry, was recognized by the Tate County Board of Supervisors at a meeting Monday, May 16, and awarded a check for $500. His mother, Cristy, is a member of the staff at Tate County Justice Court.
“We are honored to present this scholarship to such a deserving young man. We are proud of his success throughout his high school career,” said Tony Sandridge, President of the Tate County Board of Supervisors. “We wish him much success in furthering his education, and we hope he returns to Tate County at the completion of his studies to start his professional career.”
This year the MAS County Employee Scholarship program awarded $33,000 in scholarships to dependents of current or retired county employees around the state.
Derrick Surrette, Executive Director of MAS said, “The MAS County Employee Scholarship program is one way our association can give back to the employees of our counties. We hope to have an even greater response to the program next year.”
