The Coldwater Optimist Club recently donated $1,000 to Coldwater Elementary School, specifically earmarked to assist students who are facing economic hardships.
This contribution underscores the club’s dedication to improving the lives of local children and promoting educational success throughout the community. The donation will be allocated toward purchasing needed school supplies, computer programs and general academic support of students. Administrators at Coldwater Elementary said the funds will help ensure every child has access to the tools and experiences required for a well-rounded education.
“The Coldwater Optimist Club is committed to assisting students in their learning process,” said Coldwater Optimist Club president, Dr. Deran Cathey. “This is just one way we’ve chosen to do so this year.”
The Coldwater Optimist Club, a local chapter of Optimist International is dedicated to their motto: “friend of youth, bringing out the best in youth and in the community.”
