Following the cancellation of this year’s 41st Annual Baddour Center Fashion Show and Auction, the center is thrilled to announce a Virtual Fashion Show and Online Auction the week of Oct. 26.
“In spite of this year’s challenges, including the cancellation of three major fundraising events, we are excited to move the Fashion Show to an online platform,” said Mary Dade Ford, Community Engagement Advocate. “By hosting the fashion show and auction virtually, viewers can support The Baddour Center safely from the comfort of their own home.”
The virtual fashion show will feature ten residents modeling the latest stylings from area boutiques, as well as a performance from Hearts in Motion, Baddour’s creative movement team. The online auction will be live throughout the week of Oct. 26 and feature fantastic items, including a beach vacation, pottery, artwork, jewelry, and much more!
Although the center is not selling tickets for the virtual Fashion Show, it hopes that viewers will join in on October 26 – 31 for the online auction and consider a donation. Supporters can view the virtual fashion show and find the link to the online auction by visiting www.baddour.org/fashion-show beginning the week of Oct. 26. All proceeds benefit The Baddour Center. Call Mary Dade Ford at (662) 366-6930 with any questions!
“Our top priority is the health and well-being of Baddour Center’s residents, volunteers, supporters, and employees,” said Ford of the transition to an online platform. “We see this as an opportunity to reach more people than ever with this fundraiser, and it will also include more resident models than ever before. We believe the change-of-pace will be great fun for everyone!”
The Baddour Center’s mission is to provide a model residential community for adults with intellectual disabilities in an environment that promotes maximum growth intellectually, spiritually, physically, socially, emotionally, and vocationally.
