Chiefs to visit Northpoint Christian this Friday
Already tasked with facing one of the toughest MAIS teams in Mississippi last Friday evening, Magnolia Heights also took on a Madison-Ridgeland Academy team with some extra motivation in a 56-14 loss.
MRA (2-0), dealing with the absence of head coach Herbert Davis, used that extra motivation to rack up over 500 yards of total offense and jump out to a 21-7 lead at the end of the first quarter.
MHS fell behind further in the second quarter when the Patriots tacked on four more touchdowns, as the Chiefs went to the locker room down 49-14. MRA added an additional score in the second half for good measure, sending Magnolia Heights home with an 0-1 record.
Up next for the Chiefs is a road test at Northpoint Christian School, scheduled for a 7 P.M. kickoff this Friday. The Trojans (0-1) are coming off a 21-14 road loss to Jackson Christian (Tenn.).
