Mary Louise Edwards Read Stump Mary Louise Edwards, Read, Stump was born on July 2, 1935, in Cherry Valley, Arkansas to the late Kernie and Zula Edwards. She moved to heaven on June 14, 2024. She was preceded in death by her two late husbands, H. W. Read and Rev. Richard D. Stump. She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Zulager; three stepdaughters, Elaine Talley, Janice Robertson, and Sandra Bell and one stepson, Daniel Read. She leaves eight grandchildren, Kelsie Spencer and Karlie Zulager, Richard and Patrick Bell, Amanda Robertson, Stephanie Taylor, Jennifer Cox, and Katherine Talley as well as several greats and great greats. She also leaves three stepdaughters, Sharon Porter, Robbie Burns and De Juana Mc Guire; two stepsons, Richard Stump, Jr. and Michael Stump, and several grands and greats. All these children, grands and greats were very special to her. She also leaves four brothers, Jack Edwards, Dean Edwards, Donald Edwards and Tommy Edwards and two sisters, Julia Lollar and Rose Mitchell. She was preceded in death by brother, James Edwards; stepson, Mark Stump, and a grandson, John Talley. She worked for Sealy Mattress Company in Memphis, TN. for 12 years and was a member of the Senatobia Church of God. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Services were held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Senatobia Church of God. Burial followed in New Bethlehem Cemetery. Pate-Jones Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
