Mary Lee Worley Aiken
Mary Lee (Worley) Aiken passed away peacefully on February 4th, 2024 at her residence. She is survived by her two sons, William Max Aiken, Jr. (Jackie), and Tracy L. Aiken (Donna). Four grandchildren, William Max Aiken, III (Brittani), Thomas Jack Aiken, Melissa Kay Ward (Josh), and Rustin Dwight Thompson (Kelly). She has four great-grandchildren, Maggie Thompson, Conner Ward, Noah Ward, Scout Aiken, — and her brother, Henry P. Worley (Mary). She is also survived by (Her Boys). She was blessed by her lifelong friends and Antioch Church of Christ congregation who never stopped checking on her. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, William Max Aiken Sr. Her father, Henry Prince Worley, mother, Wilma Josephine (Horn) Worley, and three sisters, Violet Hicks, Mildred Scott, and Neil Scott. Mary Lee lived her adult life in Looxahoma/Aiken Bottom. She was a faithful member of the Antioch Church of Christ. She enjoyed going to worship services and helping others more than anything. Mary Lee above all was a loving Christian wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed horseback riding, crocheting, cooking, and needlepoint. She loved and was loyal to her family and friends until the end. She was very outspoken and believed in right and wrong according to the Bible. She is loved and missed because of her big heart, knowledge, encouragement, and great sense of humor. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, please make any memorial donations to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Antioch Church of Christ. (James 5:15-16) Graveside Services were held in Looxahoma Church of Christ Cemetery on February 7, 2024. Pate-Jones Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
