James Donald Carlisle, Sr., 77, of Sarah, Miss., passed away at his residence on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025.
He was a Purple Heart veteran of the Army having served. He loved the simple things in life like sitting on his porch or listening to Hank Williams. Donald also loved the American Flag.
He is survived by his wife, Linda K. Carlisle; daughter, Rhonda Carlisle; son, James Carlisle, Jr; stepdaughters, Cindy Dalton and Windy Fritzke (Jamie); stepson, Gary Wayne Lenard, Jr.; sisters, Ann DeLoach (Sonny) and Diane Manning (Bobby); brother, Ronald Carlisle (Joyce); grandchildren, Nicci Dorsey (B.J.), Johnny Kiddy, Tyler Carlisle, Jacob Carlisle, Nathan Dalton, Kaylee Jones (Mason), Brianna Lenard, McKayla Lenard, McKenzie Lenard, Hannah Fritzke, Abby Fritzke, Conner Fritzke and Maggie Fritzke; and great grandchildren, Aiden Dalton, C.J. Dorsey, Mila Dorsey, Sadie Dorsey, Kage Kiddy, Doc Kiddy and Ellie Kiddy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John C. Carlisle and Orene Carlisle; brother, Max Carlisle and grandchildren, Kyle Carlisle and Bubba Lenard.
Visitation was Tue. Oct. 21 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia. Funeral Services were 2 p.m. Oct. 22 at Pate-Jones. Burial followed at Flag Lake Cemtery in Sarah.
