Homeless Animals Relief Project received a $3,500 “I Care for Animals” grant from the Mississippi Board of Animal Health. The funds will be used as part of their spay/neuter initiative.

The “I Care for Animals” Car Tag Program offers an opportunity for Mississippians to purchase a specialty license plate which benefits animals around the state. The license plates may be purchased at county tax collector’s offices.
The proceeds from these purchases go into a state animal care fund which is distributed to animal shelters, humane organizations and municipalities which make application and meet the criteria for award.
The “I Care for Animals” Car Tag Program is in its nineteenth year of assisting animal shelters, humane organizations and municipalities, primarily with spay/neuter programs.
