Although the regular season for softball ended nearly two months ago, a pair of Senatobia stars are continuing to make a splash in the offseason.
Senior Kara Johnson and junior Carly Dunigan were each selected to compete in a pair of all-star games earlier this month and both garnered recognition for their respective performances.
Johnson, a Northwest commit, donned her Senatobia uniform one last time in the North Mississippi Softball Coaches Association All-Star Game on June 9 in Booneville, earning her team’s Offensive Most Valuable Player award.
Dunigan, another Northwest commit, received MVP honors for the North team in the Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star Game back on June 4 in Ellisville. She was the lone representative from SHS in the Class 4A-5A-6A event.
Neither organization posted scores or released stats from either all-star contest. Senatobia finished the 2022 season with a 15-9 overall record and an appearance in the Class 4A Playoffs.
