Diana Ruth Aliot Monsen Rhames
Diana Ruth Aliot Monsen Rhames, 83, passed peacefully away February 16, 2024, with her beloved granddaughter and dog at home near Senatobia, MS. She was born January 12, 1941, in Somerville, MA and had lived in MS for almost 20 years. She loved and was so proud of her family and especially enjoyed visiting her sons, grands, great grands and friends in the Northeast. She was a wonderful friend to many who also loved horses, dogs, cats, etc. and often said she was only working to feed her animals! She was a superb driver who enjoyed traveling, visiting antique shops and a great trip companion. Some of the special places visited were Brazil, Thailand, South Korea, OK, FL, AR, ME, MA and The Ark in KY. Diana also enjoyed functions at Evansville Baptist Church, was a member of Arkabutla Community Center and liked to bring sweet potatoes to friends from the farm near her home. She is survived by her sons: Scott Monsen (Melissa), Brunswick, ME, and Arthur Monsen, (Julie), Palermo, ME, her grands: Holly, Steven, Chloie, Eden and Lily, 4 Great Grands and sisters, Phyllis and Sherry Burmingham. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Ruth Burlamacchi Aliot, husband: Lynwood Rhames, daughter: Jennifer Monsen, siblings: Rita Gifford, Donna Harmon, Paul Aliot, Robert Aliot and Billy Burmingham. A memorial service will be held in Brunswick, ME.
