Daniel, Bud Bradshaw, 79, of Independence, MS passed away at his residence on Monday, August 14 from complications of end stage dementia. Although he was born in North Carolina, Bud called Independence, Mississippi his home for the last 40+ years. After his college graduation, Bud served as a sharp shooter in the Air National Guard. After his time in the National Guard, he vigorously pursued his occupation as a foam chemist. He spent the last 25 years being a foam consultant for several companies in the Caribbean Islands designing mattresses for all the Caribbean hotels which was a great joy for him. Bud was an accomplished fisherman and hunter, and spent countless hours out in the woods. Beyond his professional and recreational pursuits, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He cherished his family above all else, and his love and kindness touched the lives of countless individuals. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Sr and Evelene Bradshaw, and three sisters, Edna, Loretta, and Louise. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Martha, his daughter Kim(Matt), his son Derek, his grandchildren Weston, Kymber and Ella, and his two sisters, Elaine O’Brien of TX and Anne Wrenn of NC. While we mourn the loss of this incredible individual, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit and legacy will live on through the memories he created and the lives he touched. Rest in peace, dear husband, father and friend, and thank you for a life well-lived. A Memorial Service was held at New Hope Baptist Church Sunday, August 20th at 1:00 pm with a Celebration of Life following in the Fellowship Hall.
