A Tate County man has been charged with failing to register as a sex offender.
Captain Lisa Sanders from the Tate County Sheriff’s Office identified the subject as Vincent R. Ramsey, 38, of Sarah. Ramsey was processed at the Tate County Jail and released under bond.
Sanders said TCSO opened an investigation in February before a warrant was issued March 6 for Ramsey’s arrest. He was taken into custody Thursday, March 23, by deputies from the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office.
Ramsey was convicted in April 2007 in Tunica County on one count of touching of a child or mentally defective, incapacitated or physically helpless person for lustful purposes.
